Mid-Season Apple Varieties
Mid-September to Late September

 McIntosh
A light to dark red apple with tints of green covering a very juicy flesh that has a sweet, tangy (almost tart) flavor. A great eating apple, it is also good for baking although a thickener may be needed because of the juiciness of the apple.
