Ginger Gold apples are nearly gone for the year.
They are a customer favorite for early-season fresh eating.
Please note: Steve will have the few remaining at the
Cheboygan Farmer's Market Saturday morning.
Zestar and Paula Red have been picked
and are ready to enjoy.
Zestar apples have a lot of flavor.
They make a great pie or enjoy for fresh eating.
Paula Red is slightly tart and is great for
fresh eating, caramel apples, or for applesauce.
Looking ahead: We expect to begin picking Gala next week.
Apples will be available at the downtown
Cheboygan Farmer's Market
on Wednesday and Saturday
from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hours at the orchard are
Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday Noon to 5 p.m.
The Pumpkin Patch
will be open the last weekend of September.
Please note our apples are sold
already picked, sorted, and bagged for your convenience.
We pick each variety at their optimum ripeness and
store them properly for best flavor.
Overall, we will have a much smaller
crop of apples (total number of bushels) this year
due to the spring frosts.
