This weekend we have early season varieties Zestar!, Paula Red, and Ginger Gold apples.
Zestar is a tart & sweet mix that is great for fresh eating or baking that first apple pie.
Paula Red is slightly tart and juicy and makes great applesauce.
Ginger Gold is a terrific fresh eating apple.
We will be at the downtown Cheboygan Farmer’s Market
Saturday, September 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The orchard location is open on Saturday and Sunday.
Hours: Saturday 10 - 5 & Sunday 12 - 5
Looking ahead: The mid-season apples—Gala, Honeycrisp, McIntosh & Cortland—will be
the next to harvest. They are usually ripe about the 25th of September.
The Pumpkin Patch will be opening the last weekend in September.

Welcome to Golden River Orchard, a first-generation, family-owned and operated orchard nestled near Cheboygan, Michigan, established in 2002. Managed by the dedicated duo, Steve and Mary Crusoe, along with the invaluable support of their cherished family and friends, the orchard is a labor of love. Enjoy freshly harvested apples, a bounty of squash, and 'you-pick' pumpkins during the fall season. We invite you to come and experience the orchard firsthand!
